MICROWAVE COOKING
DEFROST
The Defrost feature uses lower power level to gently defrost
foods shown in the chart below.
Touch the Defrost pad.

See the Menu Label. Touch the number pads to select food

number.
Touch the number pads to enter weight.

Touch the START/+30 SEC pad.

The oven will pause so the food can be checked. After each

audible signal, turn the food over and touch the START/+30
SEC pad again.

Place food on a microwave-safe dish and cover loosely.
• Touch the Defrost pad, touch the number 1 pad for Ground Meat, touch the number pads to
enter the weight of the food then touch the START/+30 SEC pad.
After each audible signal, remove any thawed pieces and touch the START/+30 SEC pad again.
After defrosting, leave covered and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
Place food on a microwave-safe dish and cover loosely.
• Touch the Defrost pad, touch the number 2 pad for Steaks/Chops, touch the number pads to
enter the weight of the food then touch the START/+30 SEC pad.
After each audible signal, remove any thawed pieces and touch the START/+30 SEC pad again.
After defrosting, leave covered and let stand for 10 to 20 minutes.
Place food on a microwave-safe dish and cover loosely.
• Touch the Defrost pad, touch the number 3 pad for Boneless Poultry, touch the number pads
to enter the weight of the food then touch the START/+30 SEC pad.
After each audible signal, remove any thawed pieces and touch the START/+30 SEC pad again.
After defrosting, leave covered and let stand for 10 to 20 minutes.
Place food on a microwave-safe dish and cover loosely.
• Touch the Defrost pad, touch the number 4 pad for Bone-in Poultry, touch the number pads to
enter the weight of the food then touch the START/+30 SEC pad.
After each audible signal, remove any thawed pieces and touch the START/+30 SEC pad again.
After defrosting, leave covered and let stand for 10 to 20 minutes.
Place food on a microwave-safe dish and cover loosely.
• Touch the Defrost pad, touch the number 5 pad for Roast, touch the number pads to enter the
weight of the food then touch the START/+30 SEC pad.
After each audible signal, remove any thawed pieces and touch the START/+30 SEC pad again.
After defrosting, leave covered and let stand for 30 to 60 minutes.
Place food on a microwave-safe dish and cover loosely.
• Touch the Defrost pad, touch the number 6 pad for Casserole/Soup, touch the number pads to
enter the weight of the food then touch the START/+30 SEC pad.
After each audible signal, remove any thawed pieces and touch the START/+30 SEC pad again.
After defrosting, stir well, cover and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
At the end of the defrost cycle, let the food stand covered.

Notes:
• To defrost other foods or quantities of foods than the ones
listed on the menu label, defrost manually. See MANUAL
DEFROST below.
• At the end of Defrost cycle, small sections of food may
still be icy. Let food stand to continue thawing. Do not
cook until all ice crystals are thawed.
