STORING FOOD

Wrap food so that no water, moisture or condensate can enter; this will prevent odours or aromas going
from one part to another in the refrigerator, ensuring better preservation of frozen foods.
Never place hot food in the freezer. Cooling hot foods before freezing saves energy and prolongs the life
of the appliance.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

1. The appliance does not work.
• Is there a power failure?
• Is the plug properly inserted in the socket?
• Is the double-pole switch on?
• Are the electric circuit safety devices installed in
the house fully functional?
• Is the power cable damaged?

is not cold enough.
• Do the doors close properly?
• Is the appliance installed near a heat source?
• Is the thermostat on the correct position?
• Is the air circulation through the ventilation grills
at the bottom of the appliance obstructed?

compartment is too low.
• Is the thermostat on the correct position?
4. There is water on the bottom of the
refrigerator compartment.
• Is the defrost water drain blocked? (refer to
"Maintenance and cleaning")
AFTER-SALES SERVICE
Before contacting the After-sales service:
Switch the appliance on again to see if the problem
has disappeared. If not, switch it off again and
repeat the operation after an hour.
If your appliance still does not work properly after
carrying out the checks listed in the
troubleshooting guide and switching the appliance
on again, contact the After-sales service, clearly
explaining the problem and specifying:
• the type of fault;
• the model;
position (stop)?
5. The inside light does not work.
• First check point 1, then:
- Connect the appliance to the mains power
supply. To access the lamp, see the "Fridge and
freezer compartments operation" chapter.
• Check the lamp and, if necessary, replace it with
a new one (see instructions near the light bulb).
6. The red light on the freezer compartment
control panel remains on and/or the
acoustic alarm is activated. (depending on
the model)
• Have large amounts of fresh food recently been
placed inside the freezer?
• Is the freezer door closed properly? (also see
the quick guide)
Note:
• If the front edge of the appliance is hot,
this is not a fault and prevents the
formation of condensation.
• Gurgling, hissing and humming noises from
the refrigerating system are normal.
• the type and serial number of the appliance
(given on the rating plate);
• the Service number (the number after the word
SERVICE on the rating plate inside the
appliance).
Note:
If reversing of appliance door opening is
carried out by the After-sales service it is not
covered by the warranty.
