The discharge graph at the top of the screen shows the rate of the battery discharge since last charged (short periods of time when connected to a charger are shown as thin green lines at the bottom of the chart), and how long it has been running on battery power.

    MN003475A01-B Chapter 2: Getting Started Entering and Exiting the Suspend Mode Suspend mode (also known as sleep mode) is a low-power mode of operation that helps reduce electrical power consumption by shutting down parts of the device that are not in use. The device goes into Suspend mode when the Power button is pressed or after a time out period of inactivity.

The lock screen automatically displays after predefined time out to prevent unauthorized people from using the device.
