3. Battery Pack Replacement Procedure

Refer to "Chapter 2 Installing BBU", and please change Battery Pack in the following
procedures.
1.
Exit from all applications and shutdown OS.
2.
Turn off the power of the server and remove all the power cords connected to the
power unit from the receptacles.
3.
Remove the side cover following the User's Guide of the server.
4.
Remove all the cables from the RAID controller and the server.
5.
Remove the screw fixing the RAID controller. Then remove the RAID controller
from the server.
6.
On the rear face of the RAID controller, remove the screw fixing the connector
board.
7.
Install a new connector board to a RAID controller.
8.
Remove a battery pack from the case of the server. 2.5 inches disk model are
different from 3.5 inches disk model in installation point and installation procedure.
Please refer to "1-3. Installing BBU" of "Chapter 2 Installing BBU" in detail.
9.
Take off a screw fixing a blank cover and remove battery.
10.
Fill the year and month when the BBU is installed in the RAID controller on the
setup date label and to put it on the battery cover.
