SAFETY MACHINE OPERATION
STARTING ENGINE
If there is a warning tag hanging from the work equipment control
lever, do not start the engine or touch the levers.
CHECKS BEFORE STARTING ENGINE
Carry out the following checks before starting the engine at the beginning of the day's work.
Completely remove all flammable materials accumulated around the engine and battery, and remove any dirt
from the windows, mirrors, handrails and steps.
Check the coolant level, fuel level, and oil level in engine oil pan, check for clogging of the air cleaner, and check
for damage to the electric wiring.
Adjust the operator's seat to a position where it is easy to carry out operations, and check that there is no damage
or wear to the seat belt or mounting clamps.
Check the operation of the instruments and gauges, check the angle of the mirror, and check that the control
levers are all at the Neutral position.
Adjust the mirrors so that the rear of the machine can be seen clearly from the operator's seat.
When adjusting, see "Rearview Mirrors (PAGE 3-89)".
Check that there are no persons or obstacles above, below, or in the area around the machine.
