Trouble Recovery
(1) Turn the main switch to the "
position.
(2) Remove the fuse box cover.
(3) If the fuse is secured using screws, re-
move the screws, and then remove the
fuse. Install a spare fuse of the proper
amperage, and then tighten the screws.

(4) If the fuse is not secured using screws,
remove the fuse using the fuse puller,
and then install a spare fuse of the proper
amperage.

Consult your Yamaha dealer if the new fuse
immediately blows again.

Power trim and tilt will not operate

Never get under the engine while it is tilt-
ed. Severe injury could occur if the out-
board motor accidentally falls.
If the outboard motor cannot be tilted
up/down using the power trim and tilt unit,
e.g. because of a discharged battery or a fail-
ure with the unit itself, the outboard motor
can be tilted manually.
(1) Stop the engine.
(2) Loosen the manual valve screw by turn-
ing it counterclockwise until it stops.
