External triggering
Reiease switch CONT. GATED, S6, (position CONT.) and SINGLE DOUBLE,
S7, (position SINGLE).
Set control DC OFFSET IN 50 2, RV4, to 0 V.
Select the required amplitude and polarity using switch AMPLITUDE IN 50 Q,
S4, and vernier RVS.
Select normal or inverted mode using switch NORM. INV., S8.
Set the REPETITION TIME switch, Si, to position TRIGG. OR SINGLE SHOT.
Select delay and width in accordance with the external signal.
Apply the triggering signal to input TRIGG/GATE IN, P1.
Input amplitude > +1.2 V, frequency d.c....50 MHz.
At output SYNC. OUT, P2, a synchronisation signal now is available, which lags
the input signal by approximately 12 ns.
Single shot operation
Proceed as described in paragraph B.4, but do not apply an external signal.
By depressing switch SINGLE SHOT, SS, one single pulse is obtained. Bounce-
free switching is assured by internal electronic control.
