Basic Operation
Turning the set on
1. Press [OPERATE0/I] on the remote control or on the front panel.
Selecting the CD function
2. Press [CD] on the front panel.
NOTE: You can select the CD function by pressing [P>/ I] on the remote control. In that case, the CD player
starts play immediately.
Loading a disc
3. Open the disc tray by pressing [OPEN/CLOSE] on the front panel.
Place a disc, with its labelled side up, in the disc tray.
NOTES:
«Hold the disc by the edge and do not touch its surface (especially its unlabelled side which has the
recording data).
* Do not place more than 1 disc at one time.
¢ This set can play a 8 cm (3 inch) disc without any adaptor. Remove an adaptor if it is attached to
your disc.
¢ Do not interrupt open-close movement of the CD tray.
4. Close the disc tray by pressing [4 OPEN/CLOSE] on the front panel.

5. Repeatedly press [DISC] on the remote control or on the front panel so that " t="
blinks in the display.
Setting the play mode
About the play mode
To play one disc: Select " [°*¢]" in the display by pressing [P.- MODE] on the remote control.
To play all the discs: Select " [Ri] " in the display by pressing [P. MODE] on the remote control. All the discs
in the Disc Tray and Disc Magazine will be played continuously.
6. Press [P. MODE] on the remote control to get " (®"§]" in the display.
To start play from the first track to the last
7. Press [P/Il] on the remote control or [B»PLAY/ If PAUSE] on the front panel.
To halt play temporarily
8. Press [P/I1] on the remote control or [PLAY/ If PAUSE] on the front panel.
To stop play
9. Press [m™ ] on the remote control or [ aSTOP/CLEAR] on the front panel. Then the total nanbet of tracks
(@) and the total playing time (@) of the disc are indicated in the display. The music table (@) also indicates
each track number.
To play from the desired track to the last track of disc
10. Press the particular track number on the remote control. Or select the desired track by repeatedly pressing
[<4] / [> 1] on the remote control, and then press [P>/ II].
To get a particular part of a track
11. Press and hold [<€<4] / [1] on the remote control during play, and the player will start search. The player
will start play when you release the button.
