Both Pica pitch which tvpes 10 characters per inch, and
Elite pitch that tvpes at 12 characters per inch can be
selected quicklv and easilv.

When the power of the typewriter is switched ON, the left margin is set to position 10 and the right margin
is set to position 75 of Pica pitch. The margin can be freely changed by following the procedures outlined
below:
Note: The minimum number of characters between the margins is 20 for Pica pitch, and 24 for Elite pitch.

The margin release kev is used to move past an existing margin either temporarilv for tvping or in order to
set a new margin. When a presently set margin is reached the carrier will stop. To continue carrier
movement past the margin, press the margin release key.
