Installation Attaching the Hub Stand A stabilizing stand has been provided with the hub. It functions as a “foot” to provide a stable installation on a desktop or other flat surface. Connecting Power Use an AC power adapter (optionally available from your dealer). -

DE-805TP hub. Consult this list if you need to place an order. Caution: If you are going to supply your own AC power adapter, carefully read the input power specification of the DE-805TP hub. No fuse is provided to protect the hub from high input voltage or sudden power surges. - Page 7 “twisted-pair segment,” and it can be up to 100 meters long. Note: To connect port 5 to a computer or other non-hub device, make sure that you set the switch on the bottom of the hub to the “Normal” position.

All stations attached to the cascaded hubs communicate with each other on the same network. 1. Use port 5 to connect the hubs together. Set this port to the “Uplink” position using the switch on the bottom of the hub. 2. Excessive blinking of this LED indicates that the traffic on the network is heavy. Since there are only five ports on the DE-805TP, this situation generally only occurs if multiple hubs are cascaded together. If network speed is significantly affected, disconnect non-essential stations or add a bridge. -
