Hard Disk

You can increase the system's storage capacity by adding a second hard
disk drive in the VersaBay III. (Adding a second hard disk drive is
described in the section "Customizing Your System with the VersaBay
III.")

Memory Module Installation

Your NEC Versa SX computer comes standard with 32 megabytes (MB)
of random access memory (RAM). You can increase system memory to
a maximum of 192 MB or 256 MB depending on model. The RAM
combinations possible are 32, 64, 96 and 128 MB depending on which
two of the listed small outline-dual inline memory modules (SO-DIMM)
are used.
Only install NEC CSD supplied/approved memory
module options. Memory modules not
supplied/approved by NEC CSD may not function
properly in the NEC Versa SX notebook computer.

Installing a memory module involves the following procedures.

removing the coin screw
T
lifting the memory module bay cover
T
installing the SO-DIMM
T
reassembling the unit.
