Display appearance

The appearance of the Philips 9750 display depends on the corresponding setting (Standard display and
Advanced display options) in SpeechExec Dictate. For more information, refer to the SpeechExec Dictate Online
Help.
The Standard display option uses larger symbols without showing the status indication bar:
The Advanced display option uses smaller symbols. It enables to view more information on the current
dictation and shows the status indication bar. This bar provides visual feedback when a dication, for example,
is recorded or played back.

Power Save mode

If the Philips 9750 is left inactive for more than 15 minutes, it goes automatically into Power Save mode and the
display is turned off. You can reactivate the device by pressing any button.
When the device has been reactivated, it will reenter the mode which was active before it entered the Power Save
mode.
Note: If you have voice-activated recording enabled and the device is in Record Standby mode, it will go into
Power Save mode after 60 minutes.

The Philips 9750 comes with a menu which provides the following menu entries:
Date and time:
Device beep:
Backlight:
Contrast:
Remaining recording time (
Format:
User-defined labels:
Keyword assignment:
Recording format:
Insert mode and Overwrite mode:
Microphone sensitivity:
Voice-activated recording:
Note: The setting for the display appearance (Standard display and Advanced display options), for
enabling/disabling the record notification beep and for recording into one file only can only be made via
SpeechExec Dictate.
Note: If the one file function is activated, any recording will be stored in a single file. The Skip Forward, Skip Back
and EOL functions are not available. If the record notification beep is enabled, you will hear two beeps every time
the Philips 9750 goes into Recording mode.
