jSelecting an AF Frame Mode []

* Cannot be set in [] mode.
The AF frame indicates the area of the composition on which the
camera focuses. You can set the AF frame in the following ways.
You can have the camera automatically detect
the position of a face and use this data to set
the focus and exposure* while shooting. In
r 7 Face addition, the camera will meter the subject so
L J Detect that the face is correctly illuminated when the
flash fires. If a face is not detected, shooting
will take place with [AiAF].
Only in evaluative metering mode (p. 102).
rTrTr7 The camera automatically selects between 9
rTrTr7 AiAF AF frames to focus on according to the
rTrTr7 shooting conditions.
The camera fixes the AF frame at the center.
[] Center This is convenient for making sure the focus is
exactly where you want it.
Shooting mode:
P/Tv/Av/M
1' The camera sets the focus from an AF frame
(.-fT.-) FlexiZone you select. This is convenient for ensuring
$ that the intended subject is in focus.
Select [AF Frame].
1. Press the 0 button.

2. In the [r;1] menu, use the 4_ or ,I,
button to select [AF Frame].
