Shooting with the AF Lock
To Release the AF Lock
Press the MF button and use the ,IF or 4" button to select []
(Normal).
_] • The AF lock cannot be used in the _ and _ modes.
• Since AF frames do not display in D_ mode, aim the camera
so that the focus is on the target subject.
• When shooting with the focus lock or AF lock using the LCD
monitor, setting [AF Frame] to [Center] (p. 90) makes
shooting easier since the camera focuses using the center
AF frame only.
• The AF lock is convenient because you can let go of the
shutter button to compose the image. Moreover, the AF lock
is still effective after the picture is taken, allowing you to
capture a second image with the same focus.
