- Page 18 Cleaning the Air Filter 1. Remove air filter/muffler cover. See Removing the Air filter/Muffler Cover in the Maintenance section. Remove the air filter from behind the air filter/muffler cover (Fig. 24). Wash the filter in detergent and water (Fig. 25). Rinse the filter thoroughly.

Wind both lines at the same time in even and tight layers onto the reel, in the direction indicated on the reel (Fig. 32). NOTE: Failure to wind the lines in the direction indicated will cause the cutting head to operate incorrectly.
- Page 21 CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT NOTE: The cutting attachment should not rotate when the engine idles. The idle speed of the engine is adjustable though the air filter/muffler cover (Fig 35). If the cutting attachment rotates when the engine idles, turn the idle speed screw counterclockwise NOTE: Careless adjustments can seriously damage your of a turn at a time (as needed), to reduce idle speed.
