BLADE INSTALLATION
_IL WARNING: Beforebeginninginstallation, placethe
tractoron a firm and levelsurface,set the parkingbrake,
placethe PTOin the disengaged(OFF) position,stop the
tractor'sengineand removethe ignition key to prevent
unintendedstarting.
WARNING:Cuttingbladesare sharp.Alwaysprotect
handsby wearingheavy leatherwork glovesto grasp

2. Gentlyflip the deck overto exposeitsunderside,
3, Placea block of woodbetweenthe deck housingbaffle and
the cuttingbladeto act as a stabilizer, t hen usea wrenchto
removethe hexflangenutthat secureseachbladeto itsspindle
assembly, See Fig, 1-2,
IMPORTANT:The hexflangenuts havea right-handed (normal)
threadpattern.DoNOT attemptto force the nuts in the opposite
direction.Doingso may damagethe nut.
4. Replacethe bladeswith the bladesincludedin the kit. Be sureto
install e achblade with theside marked"Bottom" (or with a part
numberstampedinit) facingthe groundwhenthe moweris in
the operatingposition.
IMPORTANT:Use a torquewrenchto tighteneach bladespindle'shex
flangenut to between70 ft-lb and 90 ft-lb.
Removethe cuttingdeck from beneaththe tractoras instructed
inyour tractor'sOperator'sManual.
