Lift the dischargechute up (A).See Fig. 1-4.
Insertthe mulchplug into thedeck dischargeopeningby fitting
the tabson the upperedge of the mulch pluginsidethe slots
foundon the dischargechute (B) and pivotingthe mulch plug
downwardintoplace.
Securethe mulchplug assemblyin placeby attachingits strap to
the pin. See Fig. 1-5.

With the mulch plug in place,the dischargechute will remain
propped-upso that the operatorcan moreeasily maneuverthe
tractor'sdeck nearand aroundtrees and otherobstacles.
