Performing the Mainframe Tests
A description of each of the mainframe tests is provided at the end of the ROM Test procedure. Only
performing the ROM Test is described in detail since the RAM, HP-IB, RS-232C, HIL, Disk, and
Intermodule tests are accessed and performed in the same manner.
Before performing the Disk Test, install a formatted disk into each disk drive (be
sure to verify that the disks are not write protected). Before performing the
RS-232S Test, install the RS-232C loopback connector on the microprocessor
RS-232C port. Before performing the Intermodule Test, remove any connections
to the input BNC.
To perform the ROM test, proceed as follows:
1. Access the Mainframe Test menu, as described in "Accessing the Mainframe Test System," in this
section. See figure 6-10.
2. Touch the ROM Test field. The ROM Test screen is displayed. See figure 6-11.
