    Chassis cover Removing the rear cover Loosen the two thumbscrews on the rear panel to release the rear cover from the chassis.     2.3.3 Installing a DIMM Ensure to unplug the power supply before adding or removing DIMMs or other system components. Failure to do so may cause severe damage to both the motherboard and the components. Unlock a DIMM socket by DIMM notch pressing the retaining clip outward.

    2.7.4 Installing ASUS PIKE SAS RAID Card (optional) Follow the steps below to install the optional ASUS PIKE SAS RAID card to the ASUS PIKE riser card. Firmly hold the riser card bracket, then pull it up to detach it from the PCI Express x16 slot on the motherboard.

    Jumpers Clear RTC RAM (CLRTC1) This jumper allows you to clear the Real Time Clock (RTC) RAM in CMOS. You can clear the CMOS memory of date, time, and system setup parameters by erasing the CMOS RTC RAM data. The onboard button cell battery powers the RAM data in CMOS, which include system setup information such as system passwords.
