Crash recovery
If you ever need to reboot your phone when the
touchscreen is not responding, remove and re-insert the
battery, then turn your phone back on.
Reset
If you want to clear your phone, or if you forget your
PIN Password
unlock or
factory settings and erase all of your data (if you forget

Warning: All downloaded apps and user data on your
phone will be deleted. Data on your memory card will not

If your display is locked, follow these steps:
1 Read through all of the following steps before you
begin, so that you can be ready.
2 Turn off your phone.
If your phone is not responding, press and hold both
the Power key and the Volume Down key until your
phone turns off (about 10 seconds).

3 When your phone is off, press and hold both volume
keys together, then press the power key to turn on the
phone.
4 When your phone shows the boot mode menu, press
Volume Down to highlight "Recovery. "
5 Press Volume Up to start "Recovery. "
Your phone reboots, then shows a green robot on the
screen.
Tip: If you activate the wrong prompt or run into
problems, you can start over by pressing and holding
both the Power key and the Volume Down key until
your phone turns off (about 10 seconds).
6 When the green robot appears, press Volume Up and
Volume Down together.
The recovery menu appears. Press the volume keys to
scroll to the factory reset option, then press the Power
key to activate it. Press the volume keys to scroll to the

7 When the reset is complete, press the Power key to
choose reboot from the recovery menu.
