pound ground beef or Italian sausage, browned and drained

medium onion, finely chopped

tablespoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

bay leaves

can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes

can (28 ounces.) tomato puree

can (6 ounces) tomato paste

cup beef broth

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Stir well.

Cover and cook on Preset 2, Slow and low (low 8 hours). Remove bay leaves before
serving.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
Tip: If desired, omit ground beef and add meatballs. Prepare your favorite meatballs, or
use frozen, prepared meatballs. Add to the sauce and cook as directed.
