3 CONNECTING TO THE NETWORK

Connecting to the Network
This section describes how to connect this equipment to a network.
The 10BASE-T cable and the 100BASE-TX cable are not included in the accessories.
Obtain the ones compatible with the network you are utilizing.
The Scanner Upgrade Kit (optional) and the Network Printer Kit (optional) use the same net-
work interface connector, so procedures for connecting this equipment and the network for
the both options are also the same.

After the Scanner Upgrade Kit has been installed, insert
the10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX cable into the network interface con-
nector on the rear side of this equipment.

Turn ON the power of this equipment.
