Setup to receive delayed polling
Delayed polling lets you set the machine to
begin polling receive at a later time. You can
only set up one delayed polling operation.

Press (Fax).
(MFC-J870DW)
Do one of the following:
When Fax Preview is set to Off,

press (Fax).
 When Fax Preview is set to On, press
(Fax) and then
(Sending Faxes).

Press Options.
c
Press a or b to display Polling RX.
d
Press Polling RX.
e
Press Timer.
f
Enter the time (in 24-hour format) you
want to start polling.
For example, enter 21:45 for 9:45 PM.
Press OK.
g
Enter the fax number you are polling by
either using Address Book or the dial
pad on the Touchpanel.
h
Press Fax Start.
The machine makes the polling call at
the time you entered.

 When Fax Preview is set to Off,
press
 When Fax Preview is set to On, press
(Fax) and then
(Sending Faxes).

Press Options.

Press a or b to display Polling RX.

Press Polling RX.

Press Standard, Secure or Timer.

Do one of the following:
 If you chose Standard, go to
step g.
If you chose Secure, enter a four-

digit number, press OK, go to step g.
 If you chose Timer, enter the time
(24-hour format) you want to begin
polling and press OK, go to step g.

Press Options.

Press a or b to display Broadcasting.

Press Broadcasting.

Press Add Number.
