Replacement parts must be identical to those used in the original circuits. Services should be performed by qualified personnel only.

    RC-BM5 Preventing static electricity 1. Grounding to prevent damage by static electricity Electrostatic discharge (ESD), which occurs when static electricity stored in the body, fabric, etc. is discharged, can destroy the laser diode in the traverse unit (optical pickup). Take care to prevent this when performing repairs.

    RC-BM5 Disassembly method <Main body section> Handle Claw a Claw a Removing the handle (See Fig. 1.) Lift the handle slightly. While pressing the claws a of the rear cabinet assembly in the direction of the arrow 1, slide the handle in the direction of the arrow 2.

    RC-BM5 <Front cabinet section> Prior to performing the following procedures, remove the front cabinet assembly from the rear Display board cabinet assembly. Removing the display board (See Fig. 6.) From the inside of the front cabinet assembly, remove the eight screws C retaining the display board and then take out the display board.

    RC-BM5 <Rear cabinet section> Prior to performing the following procedures, Volume switch board remove the front cabinet assembly from the rear H402 Control bracket cabinet assembly. Removing the volume switch board (See Fig. 12 and 13.) Disconnect the wire from the connector H402 on the volume switch board.

    RC-BM5 Removing the tuner board Notch w (See Figs. 16 and 17.) Remove the wire from the connector H801 on the Notch x tuner board. Remove the two screws P and board holders (B) retaining the tuner board. Tuner board Pull out the tuner board from the notches w and x of the rear cabinet assembly.

    RC-BM5 <CD/Cassette mechanism section> Main board Removing the main board (See Figs. 23 to 25.) [Caution] When removing the main board, be careful not to scratch or damage the CD door. From the bottom side of the CD/Cassette mechanism assembly, remove the screw U retaining the main board.

Rubber (Pink) Prior to performing the following procedures, Rubber (Orange) remove the main board from the CD/Cassette mechanism assembly. From the bottom side of the CD/Cassette mechanism assembly, remove the four screws W retaining the CD mechanism assembly.

Remove the three screws A retaining the CD pickup cover. Remove the slit washer retaining the feed middle gear and take out the feed middle gear.
