Installation Overview

Determine if you are connecting the set-top to a:

High-definition TV
or monitor
Standard
definition TV
2 Determine if you are connecting the audio to a home theater receiver or directly to the TV:
For an IEEE 1394 connection, no audio connections are required to the TV.

4 Connect the audio and video cables in a manner matching that diagram.
5 Determine if you are connecting the set-top to a data device (see "Data Device Connections"

6 Connect the set-top to the coaxial cable wall outlet.
7 Perform the boot cycle, including the download to the set-top, as described in "Boot Cycle" in
this section.
8 Perform the operational check for the remote control.

10 Verify that the appropriate configuration information has been downloaded using the
addressable controller, such as the DAC 6000.

Use the component video (Y Pb Pr), DVI-D, or IEEE 1394 outputs. No other video
connection supports HDTV.
