Page 3 This camcorder is designed to be used with PAL-type colour television signals. It cannot be used for playback with a television of a different standard. However, live recording and LCD monitor/viewfinder playback are possible anywhere. Use the BN-V12U/BN-V22U/ BN-V25U battery packs and, to recharge them, the provided multi-voltage AC Power Adapter/ Charger.

VIDEO RECORDING Manual White Balance Adjustment (M.W.B.) The white balance is usually adjusted automatically. However, the more advanced camcorder operator would prefer to control this function manually and achieve a more professional colour/tint reproduction. ACCESS MENU SCREEN Turn the Select Dial to any position except AUTO MENU LOCK, then press the MENU Jog Dial.
Page 39 PREPARE WHITE OBJECT Point the camcorder at a white, flat object such as a sheet of white paper. SELECT MWB Follow step 1 through 3 on page 38 (“Manual White Balance Adjustment”), select “MWB”.

Lens Cover Warning indicator blinks. The camcorder is a microcomputer-controlled device. External noise and interference (from a TV, a radio, etc.) might prevent it from functioning properly. In such cases, first disconnect its power supply unit (battery pack, AC Power Adapter/Battery Charger, etc.) and clock battery; and then re-connect it and proceed as usual from the beginning.
