Putting the handset into service
2. Opening the battery compartment
Insert a screwdriver into the groove between battery cover and the jack,
grip the cover firmly and lift it off the battery compartment.
3. Inserting the batteries
Insert the approved batteries making sure that the poles are facing the
right directions as indicated.

4. Closing the battery compartment
Position the battery cover over the compartment's catches so that they can
snap into place. Then press the battery cover down until it snaps into place.
