Replacing the Battery

NOTE Do not remove microSD card while in Battery Swap mode.
Ensure that the Battery Swap mode procedures are followed, otherwise the backup battery will deplete
quickly.
To replace the battery:
Press the Power button until the Device options menu displays.

Touch Battery Swap. The Scan LED lights red.
2.
Wait until the Scan LED turns off.
3.
Press thumb against the side of the ET1 and battery. Using the index and middle fingers, move the battery

release latch toward thumb.
Pull the battery out of the battery compartment.

Align the tracks on the side of the replacement battery with the rails in the battery compartment.

Push the battery in until the battery release latch snaps into place.

Press the Power button to turn on the ET1.

Replacing the microSD Card

CAUTION
To replace the microSD card:
Press the Power button until the Device options menu displays.

Touch Power off.

Battery Release Latch
Follow proper electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions to avoid damaging the SD card. Proper ESD
precautions include, but are not limited to, working on an ESD mat and ensuring that the operator is
properly grounded.
Changing the microSD card can change the functionality of the ET1.
