5.5 Explanation of SSSW (Service Soft Switch Settings)

The items registered and set by each of these switches comprise 8-bit switches. The figure
below shows which numbers are assigned to which bits. Each bit has a value of either 0 or 1.
See the chart in the service menu shown in Section 5.4 Service data flowchart to see effective
bits and their default values. The meanings (functions) of the bits are not described in this
manual except the new switches added to this model. See G3 Facsimile SERVICE DATA
HANDBOOK (Rev. 0) (supplied separately) for details of the switches.
