HEAD-lOAD SOlENOI D ADJUSTMENT
To adjust the head-load solenoid, see Figure 5 - 6 and use the following procedure:
A.
Unload head-load solenoid and open door to lift head/carriage
assembly arm off head-load bail.
B.
Using a small screwdriver or similar tool, reach through access hole
on bottom of disk drive and bend tab on solenoid frame in to
increase travel or out to decrease travel. Adjust to 0.090
±
.01 inch
travel measured at center of head-load bail (0.95 inch from
solenoid center).
C.
Adjust head-load bail (see paragraph 5.8.8).
