16.1.8 Speed Dialing, System

Description
An extension user can make calls using abbreviated dialing for frequently dialed numbers which are stored in
the PBX as System Speed Dialing numbers.
Depending on system programming, the System Speed Dial items displayed on a display PT can be limited
to items related to the extension's tenant.
Conditions
•
Any number, such as a telephone number or feature number, can be stored in Speed Dialing. A name can
be assigned to each Personal Speed Dialing number through personal programming, and also to each
System Speed Dialing number.

Call Directory—Speed Dialing
Display proprietary telephone (PT) users can make a call by selecting a stored name shown on the display.

TRS Override by System Speed Dialing
It is possible to override Toll Restriction (TRS) when dialing a number using System Speed Dialing. (®
17.1.6 TRS (Toll Restriction))

System Speed Dialing Display by AUTO DIAL/STORE Button
Pressing the AUTO DIAL/STORE button on a display DPT or KX-T7735 while on-hook can display the
System Speed Dialing Directory.

Limiting the display by tenant—Call Directory
For Call Directory, an extension can reference the data for all tenants or for each tenant the extension is
a member of, depending on system programming. In "Each Tenant" mode, Call Directory is displayed on
display PTs as follows:

Only information about extensions that belong to the tenant is displayed.
•
Limiting the display by tenant—System Speed Dial
For System Speed Dial, an extension can reference the data for the system or for each tenant the extension
is a member of, depending on system programming. In "Tenant Exclusive" mode, System Speed Dial is
displayed on display PTs as follows:
•
Only information about extensions that belong to the tenant is displayed.
•
Changes to System Speed Dial settings only affect each tenant. They do not affect the whole system.
