SPECIAL POWER CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short cord is provided to reduce the hazard resulting from be
coming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension
cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
a. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be
at least as great as the electrical rating of the heating unit.
b. The extension cord should be arranged so that it will not
drape over the counter-top or table top where it can be
pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.

CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE WHEN EMPTY.
1. Before first use, operate your new appliance with clear, cold
water to remove any impurities.
2. Wash Mugs, Coffee Filter Assembly, Coffee Filter, Lid and
Canisters with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
3. DO NOT IMMERSE HEATING UNIT OR DETACHABLE
POWER CORD IN WATER.
4. The first few times unit is used you may notice an odour and
some slight smoking, this is a normal occurrence.
5. Always attach cord to appliance first, then plug cord into
wall outlet.
