In drawing mode, use your stylus to draw on the screen. Gridlines appear
as a guide. When you lift your stylus off the screen after the first stroke,
you will see a drawing box indicating the boundaries of the drawing. Every
subsequent stroke within or touching the drawing box becomes part of the
drawing. For more information on drawing and selecting drawings, see
Chapter 2.

In the recording mode, you can embed a recording into your document.
Recordings are saved as .wav files. For more information on recording, see

Pocket Excel works with Microsoft Excel on your computer to give you
easy access to copies of your workbooks. You can create new workbooks
on your Pocket PC or you can copy workbooks from your computer to
your Pocket PC. Synchronise workbooks between your computer and your
Pocket PC so that you have the most up-to-date content in both locations.
Use Pocket Excel to create workbooks, such as expense reports and
mileage logs. To create a new file, tap

. A blank workbook appears. Or, if you have selected a template for
new workbooks in the Options dialogue box, that template appears with
appropriate text and formatting already provided. You can open only one
workbook at a time. When you open a second workbook, you are asked to
save the first. You can save a workbook you create or edit in a variety of
formats, including Pocket Excel Workbook (.pxl), Pocket Excel 1.0
Workbook (.pxl), Pocket Excel Template (.pxt), Excel 97/2000 Workbook
(.xls) and Excel 97/2000 Template (.xlt).
Pocket Excel contains a list of the files stored on your Pocket PC. Tap a
file in the list to open it. To delete, make copies of and send files, tap and
hold a file in the list. Then select the appropriate action from the pop-up
menu.
Pocket Excel provides fundamental spreadsheet tools, such as formulas,
functions, sorting and filtering. To display the toolbar, tap
