Speed limit curve
The speed limit curve is the characteristic used for the determination of the maximum
permissible door speed V as a function of the total door leaf mass.

In accordance with EN 81 the maximum kinetic energy of the door moving in the closing
direction may not exceed 10 joules. W = 1/2 m · v ² = 10 J.

Example from following speed limit curve:
Total door leaf mass m = 180 kg = > V = 0.33 m/s.

The speed can be adjusted between 0 (corresponds to 0.10 m/s) and 100 %
(corresponds to 0.80 m/s).
