6 Functions and equipment responses

6.1

Learn and test run

Pushing the Door Parameter button (S5000) causes automatic parameter sensing to
start:
1. Recognition of the motor type
2. Recognition of the door motion direction and the "CLOSE" position
3. Determination of the door system friction values and the door mass.
4. Determination of the door width and the "OPEN" position. Close the door until the
determined door width is travelled and the "CLOSE" position is reached.
At this point the parameters are saved, this takes approximately 3 seconds.
6.2

Door Open command

With the door open command the door opens according to the set travelling curve, as
long as the command is active.
The transitions of the travelling curve (e.g. of acceleration in inertia) are smoothed in
order to avoid noise which would develop due to the play between the cabin and shaft
door. The door reaches the "OPEN" position at creep speed. Afterwards with a queued
up Door Open command the door is kept open by reduced torque.
The Door Open command must be active during the entire opening travel.
The Door Open command must be constantly active if in the OPEN position a
continuous toque is to be applied.
The Door Open command has priority over all other control commands.
6.3

Door CLOSE command

To close the door the Door Close command must be continuously active. After closing,
the door is held closed by reduced torque as long as the Door Close command is active.
6.4

Service button

The door can be opened and closed from the controller with the OPEN (S5001) and
CLOSE (S5002) service buttons. By the operation of these buttons the controller
receives the Door Open or Door Close command respectively in addition to the input
signals on X6.
6.5

Parameter setting

The AT18 terminal module (option), the HT18 user terminal or the FrontEndPC offer
additional adjustment and diagnostic possibilities.
The terminal module is integrated in the housing of the AT18 controller and can be
ordered as an option or added later.
The HT18 user terminal is available separately as an option.
It is attached to X8 of the controller.
It is also possible to use an existing type HT25 user terminal.
The FrontEndPC offers the most comfortable diagnostic possibilities.
A PC can be attached over an USB adapter (option for the FrontEndPC) to X8 of the
controller.
