Security Precautions

In order to make correct use of this products security function, first read the following precautions carefully.
ISO15408 Certification
For customers using e-STUDIO5520C/6520C/6530C and e-STUDIO2330C/2820C/2830C/3520C/3530C/
4520C
We have obtained ISO15408 certification for the system firmware V3.0 in the equipment.
The data erasing function will be enabled by registering the security license with GP-1070 (Data Overwrite Enabler,
optional).
Check that "SYS 3.0" is displayed for the system software version referring to the Operator's Manual co-packed with
GP-1070.
Do not shut down the equipment while "ERASING DATA" is being displayed; the erasure of the data carried out until then
may become invalid.
To Administrators
If a physical security problem such as hardware removal or inappropriate disassembly should occur at the installation
site, take the appropriate physical security measures such as checking who enters and leaves the site.
When connecting this product with an outer network such as the Internet, only operate it in a network environment
protected by a firewall, etc. to prevent information from being leaked due to incorrect settings or avoid illegal access by
unauthorized users.
To prevent the configuration settings from being changed illegally or similar, change the initial administrator password
at the time of shipping before you use this product. Also, the administrator password should be altered periodically.
In order to make proper use of the network function and user management function, be sure to read the TopAccess
Guide, set the given function and explain the instructions to general users as well.
Always check if the network function and user management function are enabled in order to maintain the security.
