NOTE:
After 5 minutes in PAUSE mode, the VCR will automatically enter into STOP mode to protect the tape and the video
heads. In such a case, press REC/QSR to start recording again.

Recording One Programme While Watching Another
You can record one programme while watching another simply by choosing the desired channel with the TV channel
buttons.
If two programmes that you want to watch are broadcast at the same time, you can record one while watching the
other.
Follow steps 1-4 above.
Use the TV channel selector of the TV set to select the channel for watching.
Do not change the VCR channel.
You cannot watch another programme simultaneously if you record a TV programme with the VCR in AV mode.

Press P/STILL to stop the tape temporarily.
The indicator RECP will appear on the Multi-Function Display. RECP on the TV
screen will also appear.
To continue recording, press P/STILL again.
Press STOP to stop recording.
The recording indicator REC will disappear from the Multi-Function Display.
STOP will appear briefly on the TV screen.
If the tape reaches the end before STOP is pressed, the VCR will stop and start
rewinding the tape to the beginning automatically.
To set the colour system
Your VCR is equipped with triple colour standard, you can play back a tape in
PAL B/G and SECAM B/G.
During playback your VCR detects the colour system automatically.
Press i.
Press
F F
or
G G
to select SYSTEM.
Press OK.
Press
D D
or
E E
repeatedly to select:
AUTO: automatic colour selection,
PAL: PAL recordings
MESECAM: SECAM B/G recordings.
Press i to return to TV picture.
