Note: Ensure the oil filter gasket touches the engine
and then an extra 3/4 turn is completed.
3. Fill the crankcase with the proper type of new oil; refer
to Changing the Engine Oil (page 36).
Servicing the Engine Oil Cooler
Service Interval: Every 200 hours
1. To access and service the oil cooler, remove the top
mounting screw and loosen the two side screws.
2. Remove the shroud.
3. Clean the engine oil cooler with compressed air (Figure
52).
4. Install the shroud and install the screws.

Servicing the Spark Plug

Service Interval: Every 200 hours—Check, clean and regap
Every 600 hours—Replace the spark plugs.
1. Make sure the air gap between the center and side
electrodes is correct before installing the spark plug.
2. Use a spark plug wrench for removing and installing
the spark plug(s) and a gapping tool/feeler gauge to
check and adjust the air gap.
3. Install a new spark plug(s) if necessary.
Type : Champion
Air Gap: 0.030 inch (0.76 mm)
Removing the Spark Plug
1. Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving
parts to stop before leaving the operating position.
2. Disengage the PTO, move the motion control levers to
the neutral locked position and set the parking brake.
3. Remove the lefthand hydraulic unit shroud in the order
listed with Figure 53, to gain access to the front spark
plug.
