Unplug the power cord from the outlet before starting any
maintenance or cleaning to reduce risk of electric shock,
Turning off the power switch will not reduce this risk.
Check all fasteners at frequent intervals for proper tightness
to ensure that the charger is in safe working condition.
Always refer to the Operator's Manual for important details if
the charger is to be stored for an extended period.
Safety and Instructional Decals
Safety decals and instructions are easily visible to the operator and are located near any area of potential danger.
Replace any decal that is damaged or lost.
1. Warning—read the Operator's Manual; keep the machine dry;
do not operate the machine with a damaged electrical cord.
2. Warning—do not remove the battery charger cover; do not
break the battery charger apart.
3. Explosion hazard—avoid sparks, fire, open flames, or
smoking.

Verifying the Voltage Setting
of the Charger

Procedure
1. Check the orientation of the fuse tray under the power cord
receptacle to determine if the current voltage setting of the
charger is set to the same voltage rating of the electrical
outlet you will use to power it (Figure 1).
Note: Figure 1 illustrates the setting for 110–120 V power.
Important: An incorrect voltage setting on the battery
pack charger could damage the charger and/or battery.
Maintain or replace safety and instruction labels as needed.
Replace a damaged cord or plug immediately. Do not operate
the charger with a damaged cord or plug.
If the charger has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or
otherwise damaged in any way, do not operate it; take it to an
Authorized Toro Distributor.

4. Toxic gas inhalation hazard—do not charge the battery
indoors.
5. Electric shock hazard—do not allow tools to short circuit
battery posts when performing maintenance.
