    Using the Network Interface Unit Setting Up Network Scanning You can set up network scanning to your scanner through the optional Epson Network Interface Unit. First connect the unit to your scanner and verify that they are working properly. Then follow the instructions here to set up computers for network scanning using the Epson Scan Settings utility.

You can check the scanner roller counter by reading the number in the Number of Scans field. If the number of scans exceeds the Life Cycle of the rollers, it is time to replace the rollers.

    You may see a ripple pattern (called a moiré) in scanned images of printed documents. This is caused by interference from differing pitches in the scanner's screen and your original's halftone screen. To reduce this effect, adjust these Epson Scan settings (if available) and try scanning again: • Select the Descreening setting.
