using a digital connecting cable (square, not
supplied).

Tip
Switch the function to "OPTICAL IN" when listening
to or recording the sound of connected components.

Connect an external aerial to improve reception.
FM aerial
Connect an commercially available FM external
aerial, or you can use a TV aerial instead.

AM aerial
Connect a 6- to 15- meter insulated wire to the
AM aerial terminal. Leave the supplied AM loop
aerial connected.
Important
If you connect an external aerial, connect a ground
wire to the U terminal. To prevent a gas
explosion, do not connect the ground wire to a gas
pipe.
