3. Electric wiring

The following diagram shows the wiring.
(a) Insert the high voltage cord of the Ignition Coil [95]<95> through the Spark Plug Cap [101]<101> with a
small amount of oil applied to its tip. Then penetrate through the core wire of the high voltage cord with
the metal fitting of Plug Cap (A) [99]. Pull back the high voltage cord, and hold the metal fitting of Plug
Cap (A) [99]<99> within the Spark Plug Cap [101]<101>.
(b) Connect Cord (A) [100]<100> to the connector of the Ignition Coil [95]<95> and Stop Switch
[128]<128>.
(c) Connect Cord (B) [102]<102> to the connector of the Stop Switch [128]<128>, and secure to the
Ignition Coil [95]<95> by using Hex. Socket Hd. Bolt (W/Washers) M4 x 18 [103]<103>.

4. Adjusting the carburetor

(a) Use the screw to adjust the carburetor.
• Idle adjust screw
Use the screw for adjusting engine speed during idling.
Turning the screw clockwise increases engine speed;
turning it counterclockwise decreases engine speed.
(b) Standard setting of the carburetor

2,800 to 3,200 min
(Confirm that the saw chain does not rotate.)
(c) Fine adjustment
• Idling adjustment
(i) By using the Idle Adjust Screw [41]<41>, set the
revolutions so that the saw chain does not start
rotating while the engine runs stably.
(ii) Set the idling revolutions to 2,800 to 3,200 min
[rev./min] by using the Idle Adjust Screw [41]<41>.
