Important
This Quick Start Guide is only intended for use
by installers who have an adequate working
knowledge of video systems!
This guide outlines the most important
information about the indoor fix dome camera. It
is, however, vital that you also refer to the full
User Manual.
Installing the IP-Module
IP-Module fixing
1.
Use the drilling template to drill two holes
in the ceiling/wall and insert the wall
plugs.
2.
Mount the IP-Module to the ceiling/wall.
3.
Connect the BNC cable (12) to the
connector socket (4) in the IP-Module.
Installation and connection of the
dome camera
1.
Connect the video output from the dome
camera to the BNC cable video input (11).
2.
Connect the electrical supply for the dome
camera to connector socket (5).
3.
Remove the dome from the camera body
(illustration D).
4.
Place the camera body on the IP-Module
and screw both units together using the
two screws supplied.
5.
Connect the LAN cable to the RJ45
socket (7).
6.
Connect the (12 V DC / 24 V AC)
electrical supply (8).
Warning
Ensure correct polarity if using a 12 V DC
supply, as incorrect connection may damage
the dome camera or cause the unit to operate
abnormally.
7.
Establish communication with the device
for the first time. See section 6:
Establishing initial communication with the
device.
8.
A test monitor can be connected to the
BNC socket (6) when configuring the
camera.
9.
Configure the dome camera as required.
Refer to the dome camera manual for set-
up instructions.
10. Place the dome back on the camera and
screw it in position.
Note
Clean the dome after installation using a soft,
lint-free cloth to remove dust and greasy
finger marks.
Operation and storage
•
Do not operate or store the unit in
following locations:
•
Extremely hot or cold places
•
Close to sources of strong magnetism
•
Close to sources of powerful
electromagnetic radiation such as radios
or TV transmitters.
•
In humid or excessively dusty places
•
Where exposed to mechanical vibrations.
•
Close to fluorescent lamps or objects
reflecting light.
•
Under unstable or flickering light sources
Care and maintenance
The IP-Module CFVA-IP is maintenance-free.
Small amounts of dirt or dust can be cleaned
from the camera body using a clean soft cloth. If
the unit tends to get very dirty, the dome camera
should be placed within a protective housing.
