you receive this message for an uninstalled
drive,
your drive is
functioning normally. Put
your
Check CD Program 3.00 diskette
away in a secure place for future testing that OCLC may ask you to
perform.

to
section

to add SETVER to the
CONFIG.SYS file

do not use MS-DOS 5.0, go to section 8, to install the
MS-DOS CD-ROM Extensions
software.

Add SETVER to the CONFIG.SYS File
If
you
use MS-DOS 5.0
,
add
the SETVER command before the device
driver in
your
CONFIG.SYS file. You can edit the CONFIG.SYS file with
any ASCII text
editor.
The procedure listed here describes using
MS-DOS Editor to insert the SETVER command
.

From the DOS prompt, type edit config.sys.

Press
<Enter>
to insert a blank line above the first line of text
.

Type the
SETVER
command on the blank line. Use the following
format
:
DEVICE=C:\DOS\SETVER.EXE
