Reconfigure PASSPORT Software
If
you use an OCLC synchronous mode with a dedicated-line workstation
attached to a CD
drive,
change the
1/0
Board address setting under the
synchronous setting in the PASSPORT Software configuration. (Refer to
the PASSPORT Software User Guide
,
chapter 3 for additional information.)
If
you use an M300
1/0
Board that does not have DIP switches, do
not reconfigure PASSPORT Software because you have not reset the syn-
chronous port address
.

Load the PASSPORT Software Setup program (from either the work-
ing diskette or the hard-drive subdirectory) by typing setup at the
DOS prompt and pressing
<Enter>.
When the main menu displays
,
pull down the Session menu by pressing
<S>
.

Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight Modify Session and
press
<Enter>
.

At the next menu, use the up/down arrow keys to highlight the syn-
chronous session you want to modify
,
and press
<Enter>
.

At the next menu, use the up/down arrow keys to highlight
1/0
Board Address and press
<Enter>.

Type the correct alternate address
,
210
,
for the OCLC
1/0
Board
and press
<Enter>.

Exit from the configuration program by pressing
<Esc>
until you
see the main menu screen.

Press
<Ait> <X>
to exit from the Setup program. When the system
asks if you want to save the changes to the Setup program, press
<Y>
for "yes" to accept the changes.
10. Resolve Problems
Most Hitachi 3 700 CD drive problems are basic and either result from a
stuck CD caddy or an over looked detail. This section gives instructions
for solving these basic
problems.
10.1 Dislodging a CD Caddy

If
your CD caddy is stuck inside the CD drive, and you cannot eject it by
pushing the eject button, use the following removal procedure
:

Tum the drive off and wait until the disc stops rotating (approxi-
mately 15
seconds).
If
you leave the drive on, you may shock yourself or damage your
drive when you complete step 3.
Remove the dust-proof label from the Manual Emergency Eject
Hole (see fig 5)
.
