Warning: Do not expose the battery or the heart rate chest strap to fire, or you could be injured. If the
battery is swallowed accidentally, seek immediate medical attention.
1. Remove the battery cover from the heart rate chest strap using a flat tool or coin by turning it as
shown.
Caution: Wrap the tool you use in a thin cloth to protect the battery cover from damage.
2. Remove the battery, then do one of the following as necessary:
• If you are resetting the chest strap, turn the battery over, and reinsert it with the negative (–) side
facing up. Then wait three seconds to dissipate the charge in the battery and reset the heart rate
chest strap.
