8. Removal and Re-installation
CAUTION: REMOVE ALL POWER BEFORE PERFORMING REMOVAL AND
RE-INSTALLATION PROCEDURES.

KAC 1052 Antenna Coupler Removal and Re-installation

KAC 1052 Antenna Coupler Removal
Detach cables from connector J10521.
Detach the coaxial cables from J10523 and J10528. Ensure that the orange
rubber seal around the center pin of the coax plug stays inside the
connector.
Remove nut and washer on the GND post. Detach ground strap. Replace
nut and washer on the GND post.
Loosen retaining screw clamp located at the front of the KAC 1052 Antenna
Coupler. Remove unit from rack.

KAC 1052 Antenna Coupler Re-installation
Slide the KAC 1052 Power Amplifier gently into the mounting rack.
Engage and tighten retaining screw clamps to secure unit.
Reconnect appropriate cables to connector J10521.
Reconnect the coaxial cables to P10523 and P10528. Ensure that the
orange rubber seal around the center pin of the coax plug is in place.

KPA 1052 Power Amplifier Removal and Re-installation

KPA 1052 Power Amplifier Removal
Detach cables from connector J10524.
Remove the coaxial cables from J10526 and J10527. Mark as required to
ensure proper reconnection.
Loosen retaining screw clamp located at the front of the KPA 1052 Power
Amplifier. Remove unit from rack.

KPA 1052 Power Amplifier Re-installation
Slide the KPA 1052 Power Amplifier gently into the mounting rack.
Engage and tighten retaining screw clamps to secure unit.
Reconnect appropriate cables to connector J10526 and J10527, noting their
proper mating connector.
Reconnect the coaxial cables to P10523 and P10528.
