G a i n i n g a c c e s s to a n d replac i n g of pa rts
3.2. 1 . CABI N E T PAN E LS
The top- and bottom plates can be taken off by sl id i ng them backwards after f i rst h av i ng the corresponding
screws ( M3) removed.
The side plates can be removed separately by remov ing the correspond ing handle-bracket screw.
3.2.2. SCA L E LAMP, I L L U M I N A T I O N OF I N D I CATO R
- Remove the top-plate
- U nso l de r the connection wi res ( E , Fig. 33) of the p i lot lamp
- Take out the lamp
- Sl ide the spare lamp until the stop
- Resolder the connection wires
- Demount the i nd icator accord i ng 3 . 2 . 5 .
- Pu l l out the lamp holder a n d repl ace the lamp
3.2.3. TU N I N G CAPAC I T O R
- Remove the top· and side plates
- Set the tuning short before the right stop
- Loosen the grub screw of the drive
- Unsolder the connections of the t u n i ng capacitor
- Loosen the 3 holding screws; p u l l out the tuning capacitor backwards
- Adjust the poi nter accord ing to 3.2.5.2. after mou nting the drive
3.2.4. U N I T 1, PUSH-B UTTONS, U N I T
- Demount the tuning capacitor accord i ng to 3.2.3.
- U nso lder the connection of u nit 1 , loosen screws F ( F ig . 33) and take out u n it 1
- Demount push·button u n i t 802. The soldering spots, ind icated in F ig . 40 must be soldered free.
- Take out and replace the push-button u n it i nclud i ng the pri nted wiring board
- Unsolder the mass con nection of unit 3
- Take out u nit 3 sidewards
N otes concerning u n it
- The solderi ng temperature (260 °C) may not exceed a time of 3 seconds.
- M i nimum distance from the lens is 2 mm
- Use a tong between soldering spot and d iode body to conduct the heat.

TU N I N G F R E Q U E NCY, D R I V E , SCA L E A N D I N D I CATO R
- Remove the top plate and the buttons SWE E P W I DTH and H F A M PLI TU D E
- Set t h e drive at approx imately the right stop
+ Demount the mains switch mech anically by loose n i ng first the rear hexagona l n ut and then the front
ornamental ri ng.
Mounting up in reversed sequence
+ Demount potentiometer SWE E P W I DTH mech a n i ca l l y
+ Unsolder the connections o f connector LF I N and 1 kH z/SW E E P O U T
- Remove t h e 4 screws A ( F ig. 36)
- Remove the 4 screws B ( F igs. 34 and 35)
