Action
When 'Online module change error flag' (SM1618) is on, it
indicates that an incorrect module has been specified due
to any of the following causes:
 A module that does not support the online module
change function has been specified.
 An I/O number with which no module is mounted has
been specified using 'Module selection (base No.)'
(SD1600) and 'Module selection (slot No.)' (SD1601).
 A module under control of another CPU module has
been specified.
Take the following corrective actions against each cause:
 To replace a module that does not support the online
module change function, power off the programmable
controller before the replacement.
 Correct the specified base unit number and slot
number, set 'Online module change error code'
(SD1618) to 0, and turn off 'Online module change
error flag' (SM1618) and 'Module selection request
flag' (SM1600). After that, try again from the step of
module selection.
 Perform online module change from the CPU module
or remote head module that controls the module.
When 'Online module change error flag' (SM1618) is off,
the CPU module or remote head module may be in
failure. Replace the CPU module or remote head module.
If an incorrect module is selected as the replacement
target module, turn on 'Module selection cancel request
flag' (SM1615), and then try again from the step of
module selection to select a correct module. ( Page
