4 Unit commissioning

4.1 Preparations before commissioning

After tightening of the MAHU foundation bolt,
►
air duct connection, piping connection and
wiring of power cable is completed, inspect the
inner part of the unit, fan and air duct for the
remaining foreign material or tools. During the
commissioning, particular attention shall be
paid to the fixing of the overall unit, as well as
the assembling of other accessories.
Check tension of V belt (only for unit using
►
belt-driven fan), by apply 20-30N pressure to
the center of V-belt, the deflection of the belt is
approximately 5-20mm.
Check if the fixing device of the belt-driven fan
►
is removed (only for unit using belt-driven fan).
Check whether the water drains is blocked by
►
foreign materials.
Manually rotating the fan to check the abnor-
►
mal parts.
Verify the power supply (i.e. wiring, voltage,
►
contactor and thermal relay) is compatible.
Due to the moisture absorption, operating the
►
motor that has not been used for a long time,
the resistance shall be determined before start
the unit in order to judge if the isolation is
qualified (when the value is less than 1MΩ,
apply drying measures).

4.2 Starting and operating

Determine the running directions according to
►
the sign of fan running directions.
After the installation of air duct, open the
►
inlet/outlet adjusting valve to a certain aper-
ture, then start the fan.
When supplying water to the unit, coil air bleed
►
valve shall be opened at first to release the air
in the coil.
For the unit has humidifying function, fan shall
►
be started before water (steam). when stop the
unit, water (steam) shall be stopped prior to fan.
For the brand new unit, when the temperature
►
of fresh air is less than 2℃, pre-heating the coil
or applying corresponding protective measures
Climate 5000
is required to prevent from coil frost cracking
inside the unit.
When power on the unit and motor is started,
►
please stop the operation immediately.if follow-
ings are occurred.
- Abnormal vibration.
- When the unit is in the process of accelerating
or decelerating, due to resonance abnormal
soundi may be heard, the methods of judging
the resonance are as follows:
a. When using in fixed-frequency mode
(constant fan speed), if there is a low-
frequency roar in the unit, it might be caused
by resonances.
b. During the commission of fan (variable fan
speed), measured vibration value from the
lowest frequency setting to the highest point,
if the vibration is higher than the standard,
then this certain point is the resonant points.
Verify the motor characteristics and rotation
►
speed of the fan are fitted to the designed speci-
fications during normal operation conditions.
In case of power-off, cut off the power supply of
►
MAHU to avoid danger caused by vane rapidly
rotating when the power supply is recovered.

4.3 Specific Prohibitions

Notice:
Do not reversely rotate the vane。
Notice:Risk of unit damage!
Do not start fan when the inlet/outlet
duct adjusting valve is closed.
Caution:
Do not operate the unit when the
maintenance door is open.
Caution:
Do not put into use when the machine
is out of the design specifications.
Warning: Risk of the motor burned!
Do not run the unit with lacking of
phases when using the 3-phase motor,
or run the unit with the 3-phase voltage
is not equalized.
